Equally at ease on the recorder and the baroque flute,  Alexa Raine-Wright has shared her passion and talent for early music with audiences across the United States and Canada. Alexa is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, where she obtained her Master's degree under the tutelage of Claire Guimond, as well as her Bachelor's degree in recorder with Matthias Maute. Winner of several national and international competitions, Alexa was awarded the Devonna & Amos Gerber Grand Prize as well as the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra Prize at the 2016 Indianapolis International Baroque Competition. She also won First Prize at the 2015 National Flute Association’s Baroque Flute Artist Competition in Washington DC, as well as Second Prize at the 2015 Mathieu-Duguay Early Music Competition in New Brunswick. Alexa is a member of the celebrated recorder quartet, Flûte Alors!  Alexa has made recent appearances with Ensemble Caprice, Arion Baroque Orchestra, I Musici and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  Alexa has released recordings with Arion Baroque Orchestra, Flûte Alors!, Infusion Baroque and La Bande Montréal Baroque.
