Maison symphonique

Guest conductor : Mathieu Lussier, Artistic Director, Bassoon

Such an occasion commands an exceptional event! Arion is delighted to celebrate the opening of its 40th anniversary season with its first performance in the ideal setting of Montreal’s Maison symphonique, partnering once again with the beautiful voices of the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal. Led by Arion Baroque Orchestra’s new Artistic Director, Mathieu Lussier, the concert will present a choice pick of festive works. In addition to Telemann’s Latin Psalm Deus, judicium tuum, which in its time won the hearts of Parisian audiences, the hall will resound to the wonderful strains of Handel’s four Coronation Anthems and celebrated Music for the Royal Fireworks.
