To mark the 300th anniversary of the death of Michel-Richard de Lalande, Arion renews its fruitful collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles by presenting two rare and magnificent works by the great French composer. Discover the beauties of the pastoral opera L’amour fléchi par la constance, premiered in 1697, and excerpts from the Ballet de la jeunesse, presented at Versailles during the Carnival season in January 1686. Performed here by four exceptional singers under the direction of Mathieu Lussier, these works stand out as much for the gracefulness of their vocal lines as for the richness of their orchestral colours.
