Originally from Montreal, Simon first completed his studies with Louis-Philippe Marsolais and Nadia Côté at the Montreal Conservatory of Music. Simon went on to obtain his Master’s degree in early music performance at the Amsterdam Conservatory, under Teunis van der Zwart, in the spring of 2019. Some months later, he won the first prize in the International Horn Society natural horn competition in Ghent, Belgium.
Simon is now pursuing a fruitful career in Europe and North America, performing with leading early music ensembles such as Arion Orchestre Baroque, Pacific Baroque Orchestra (Canada), MusicAeterna (Russia), Europa Galante (Italy), Die Kölner Akademie, Das Neue Orchester and Das Freiburger Barockorchester (Germany), le Cercle de l’Harmonie (France), Musica Fiorita (Switzerland), Concerto Copenhagen (Denmark) and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century (The Netherlands).
