Arion Baroque Orchestra brings classical music to our community, weaving harmony along the way. From workshops to outreach events, we are not just composing melodies – we are igniting passions and nurturing talents. Together, let us rediscover melodies that resonate far beyond the concert hall, uniting hearts and minds through timeless music. Baroque orchestra unfolds with the soaring rhythm of the violin, the warm resonance of the cello, the deep bass lines, the delicate plucking of the harpsichord, and the majestic sounds of the organ. These instruments come together to create powerful compositions while fostering a spirit of community engagement through education and outreach programs.
We believe in the transformative power of music education. With its workshops, master classes and school outreach programs, Arion Baroque Orchestra is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians.
Our workshops provide hands-on learning experiences, allowing aspiring musicians to discover Baroque music. Led by experienced musicians and educators, these sessions offer invaluable insights and practical skills that empower students to develop their musical potential.

Under the dynamic direction of recorder player Vincent Lauzer, Arion Baroque Orchestra offers a series of awareness-raising activities and participatory workshops with our musicians, culminating in a pre-concert presentation at Salle Bourgie, prior to the ensemble's series concerts as part of its Montreal season.
Arion's association with numerous music schools in the greater Montreal area makes this type of project possible, in which our musicians become both mentors and colleagues on stage for the young musicians of tomorrow.
On the day of the concert, the students receive professional treatment: a performance on one of Montreal's most prestigious stages (Salle Bourgie at the MBAM) in the company of professional musicians, a tour of the dressing rooms and rehearsal facilities, a meeting with Arion's conductor and artistic director, and a mention in the official concert program. These young people have the chance to perform their program in front of a large audience! Once their performance is over, they'll have the chance to attend our concert for free!
Volunteers are an integral part of our vibrant musical community. Whether assisting with concert logistics or hospitality, their contributions make a meaningful impact on our performances and events. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a newcomer to the world of classical music, there’s a place for you on our team of volunteers. We provide the training and support you need to excel in your role.
